This spoke volumes to me…..i've known this & experienced it now abraham has articulated it with such clear & accurate WORDS. So many new possibilities for money have opened up in my mind now…opportunities to make money/receive money which i felt hesitant about now feel certain to me, it is definitely my vortex and it is up to me to allow it. Makes complete sense.
This really makes you see the whole law of attraction thing in a new light. It is so obvious, yet I didin't think it like that before. If you attract more materia to yourself than you really need in a limited supply of materias, then somebody is gonna be left without! Ecspecially this is true in our current market system which thrives on inequality.
So yeah. While I think there is definitely something to be said for having (or trying to have) a positive mindset, I think this law of attraction stuff is basically a moneymaking scheme that preys on the gullible folks out there who need to believe in some kind of greater power that will give them everything their little hearts desire. And it grosses me out.

Not nessesacerialy, however because if you have been think negativeley for that long, i guess it would take a while to get it out of your subconsious. I have recently mastered the law of attraction, after a long time of undertstanding, and i beleieve that its not just thinking you have something, its knowing. And I know theyve alreafy told you this, however, i mean you cant just 'know' that you have something, but think it ALL the time and you will literally like hypnotise yourself into knowing that you have it, and its not like a "yeah, i know i have $10,000, kind of", its "Oh yeah! very nice article, i found many people are battling to use the law of attraction for the simple reason the are feeling undeserving on a unknown emotional level. they have cant open themselves to receiving without this. i feel the secret is not really in dept many people don't have clue on how to implicate the law of the attraction in to their everyday lives.
Questions such as 'Do you believe in the Law Of Attraction?' Is the Law Of Attraction real? Does the Law Of Attraction really work? Does it really exist? Is there any scientific basis to it?
These same questions are being asked AT LEAST once every other day both in Yahoo and all over the internet.
There are many people who are quick to say it's a 'scam' and label it B.S., rubbish, pseudoscience, a sham religion, etc………. others say it's real without giving a detailed explanation.
Let's put this issue to rest. The Law Of Attraction exists and is REAL. It has been around since the beginning of time, just like gravity. Everyone believes in gravity and no one questions it because gravity's effects are IMMEDIATE. If you jump out of a five story building, you'll fall down in no time.
People have a hard time accepting the Law Of Attraction because UNLIKE gravity, there's always a TIME DELAY associated with it.Your thoughts and emotions are INVISIBLE waves of energy, similar to radio waves. These invisible waves of energy take TIME to manifest into actual physical reality we can see with our eyes. When people think and feel a negative thought today and something bad happens to them days later, they don't associate the thought as having caused the effect.
The great electrical scientists such as Edison, Tesla, and Marconi all believed that thoughts could move through the air. They were certain that thoughts could affect things if the they are strong and clear. The noted astronomer Sir Arthur Eddington said it was NOT impossible that the physical laws of the universe could be made subject to human thought. And quantum physics doesn't rule it out either.
Nobel Prize Winner Werner Heisenberg, one of the pioneers of modern quantum physics, said, "Consciousness can shape reality."
The Secret was a well made movie. However, the Law Of Attraction is more complicated than what the movie teaches. There is MUCH more to the whole manifesting process. The movie should have made that clear, but it did NOT. When people who tried to follow what the movie taught and it didn't work for them, they started to have doubts and began to think it isn't real. The people and critics who were skeptical from the beginning were quick to say it's not real and is a scam or pseudoscience.
(That is part of the problem. The other problem is that many books out there teaching the Law Of Attraction are INCOMPLETE and are more motivational than anything else. Also, they present the information in such a manner that the average person has a hard time putting the information into practical use to get some real results.)
Again, the Law Of Attraction is VERY real but people need to study MUCH MORE into it besides just watching The Secret. You can't understand Aerospace Engineering math by just learning basic algebra. You need to go further into higher levels of math such as differential equations and advanced calculus.
In order to really understand the true nature of the Law Of Attraction, one needs to study MUCH more into it. Is it no surprise that almost every teacher featured in THE SECRET has their OWN specialized course on the Law Of Attraction?
The popular statement: "Whatever you spend your time and energy focusing on will eventually come to you" is true, BUT NOT THE FULL STORY. It is an oversimplification. You can't teach someone to bake a special cake by only telling them to 'get the right ingredients'. You need to go into the specifics such as which ingredients, how to properly mix, the right baking temperature, etc…..If even ONE step along the way isn't done correctly, the outcome will not be favorable.
So, it's NOT only about thinking what you want all the time and it appears right in front of you.
There is a step by step scientific process to making the law of attraction work. The problem is most people never learn the whole process. All books (including The Secret) out there seem to give bits of info here and there. Some give too much information, not enough or, are so hard to understand that people are never able to apply any of the information they learn.
If the law of attraction isn't working for you, you probably don't have all the information you need as well as explained to you in a manner in which you can understand and APPLY it.

Modern consensus among New Thought thinkers is that the Law of Attraction says people's thoughts (both conscious and unconscious) dictate the reality of their lives, whether or not they're aware of it. Essentially "if you really want something and truly believe it's possible, you'll get it", but putting a lot of attention and thought onto something you don't want means you'll probably get that too.
I am of the thought that is you really want something you will have to put some effort into getting it.
i think that this is really inspiring. could i have a piece of advice? i am inlove with this guy and he says he loves me too, but i keep creating excuses as to why i shouldnt get together with him, i use silly excuses because either i am worried i'm not good enough for him, or that i feel like i won't be able to satisfy him as much as other people, etc. i want him more than anything in the world, and i try to think positively but i never can. what should i do to apply this law of attraction?

Blaming and justification is what we call 'living below the line'. In Law of Attraction, it's focusing the thought at the negative energy and will attract more of this.

lady0fdarkness, I've not read the book “the Secret” but heard of it. I think it's the same concept as Abraham-Hicks, the law of attraction, her original concept has inspired many books and movies.
So the Secret is the law of attraction, everything that’s coming into your life you’re attracting into your life, and it’s attracted to you by virtue of the images you’re holding in your mind. It’s what you’re thinking, so whatever is going on in your mind you are attracting to you. They said if you think bad thoughts then you are attracting bad things, and vice versa. I think the law of attraction is like the law of the universe.
Sounds similar to myself, then I picked up Abraham’s Law of Attraction book and am now one of those annoyingly cheerful chaps. Am also cool and good looking too, lol.

The LAW of attraction (often applied to economics) is a New Age law, not a law of science that actually has some evidential basis. Practicing the LAW isn't significantly different than a Wiccan Ceremony. It doesn't LOOK like it, but at the heart, same thing. It's called in the parlance "Magical Thinking". Not substantially different than the primitive tribesman who wears a bear claw to infuse him with the strength of the bear. Like attracts like in Magic. As above so below we hear. Whatever happened to the romantic "law" Opposites Attract? Perhaps using the "Secret" you'll end up with exactly the opposite of what you seek. There's an old adage. Be careful what you ask for, you might actually get it! Ha ha ha. Books like that are just a way for the author to make a zillion dollars and then claim with a nice poker face that it was his or her principles that made him rich like the book "Think and Grow Rich" by another literary con-man. The author in question created a best seller and made millions. But it was not the "principle" the "secrets" revealed in his book that made him rich, but the blockheads who bought into it and wasted their hard earned moolah on such drivel. Here's two economic "laws" for you that you should be aware of: It takes money to make money. It's not what you know but who you know. That's why the rich keep on getting richer and the poor poorer. Money making is a skill just like Figure Skating or playing the piano. It takes hard work and sound knowledge and good connections. There is no instant "secret" to wealth (short of winning Powerball), or success in real estate sales, marketing or even romance or health besides sound knowledge applied with diligence and hard work, and a little "help from your friends" as the immortal John Lennon sang. A little luck never hurt either!

I don't know about the "Law of Attraction," but I do know about "The Secret." Personally, I think Rhonda Byrnes ought to be prosecuted for this trash. For one thing, she has plagiarized so many writers that it is amazing she is not being sued by a dozen other self-help book authors. For another thing, her theory is full of it. She even went so far to suggest that people in Rwanda could have avoided being murdered had they just thought more positively. Furthermore, based on her point of view, you can tell a child it is their fault if their mother died of cancer. "Sorry, honey, but I guess you weren't positive enough." It is sick. No one should buy this witch's book and support her filth.
Don't get me wrong. Positive thinking is a good thing. It makes you better able to deal with your problems, and it CAN make you more successful. Byrnes takes it too far, suggesting you can change the world around you. Her evidence is totally anecdotal, simply ignoring the mountain of evidence that proves it wrong. A simple analogy can bust her theory. Say ten people arrive at a parking lot, and there is one good spot left. Say all ten of them are POSITIVE with ALL THEIR HEARTS that they will get that spot. Will all ten of them get it? No. Of course not. BUT… the person who did can go around all day and say, "See? I was positive, and I got the spot. That proves it works."
Rhonda Byrnes is that person who happened, through positive thinking somewhat, but mostly through hard work and dumb luck, to get that good parking spot. Sure, it is easy for her to say it works. She got lucky and wrote a best-selling book. If you buy it, however, you're just supporting another con-artist who is using her success to take advantage of people going through difficult times. That's the last thing our society needs. I think people like this rank right up there with rapists and child molesters. Yuck.
That said, I admire your intentions here. You're obviously a good person who wants to help people, and that is never a bad thing. For that matter, positive thinking is a good thing, too! Regardless, I think there are more active, effective, and useful ways to help little girls in Africa rather than sitting around hoping for the best and not doing anything. It's a cheap way to make yourself feel less guilty. Get out there and do some volunteer work or raise some money!

I so did understand The Secret. It's a juvenile approach to the Law of Attraction which has been written about since 1903. You so don't understand parody and humor. If you want a GOOD book on the Law of Attraction with practical applications and actual actions plans to achieve your desires, read “The Success Principles,” written by Jack Canfield. Which by the way came out a year before The Secret.

The law of attraction teaches that we attract into our lives whatever we focus on. Yes it happened even before I didn't know yet about the Law of Attraction, it seems like God arrange everything for me to make it easier for me to achieve my goal. Law of attraction is a law just like gravity is a law. The only problem with proving it scientifically is it is based on vibrations. Because our thoughts create our feelings and our feelings create our vibrations, it cannot be scientifically proven, as there could be no control group that would all feel the exact same way for the exact same amount of time and the exact same intensity on the exact same subject.
There have been many studies by scientists and because with law of attraction, we "get what we expect" – if a scientist really wants to prove something works – he /she will get evidence that it works. If a scientist really wants to prove something doesn't work, he / she will get such evidence.
However, there is also no evidence to disprove that it works either! The best way to prove it is to try it out for yourself.
People are concerned about the implications of law of attraction in regards to others and there is no danger in someone creating in your reality because there is no law of assertion – only law of attraction. That also means you cannot force someone else to do something against their will.
Most of the teachers and the books you find on law of attraction leave out 2 very important aspects and those are the Subjects of Vibration and our Inner Being. If you really want to learn more, you will want to find someone that touches on those subjects.
Everything that comes into our life goes through Law Of Attraction. Well, here's what I think. I don't believe we can create reality with our minds, as this new age law of attraction stuff suggests. I do think that if we expect a positive outcome, we kind of throw that out there and view life through a more positive lens. In a sense life brightens up in some way. If you start the day going, "This day is gonna suck" it probably will. If you say, "Hey, hello, happy day!" probably you are looking for a good day. Do I think the day magically bends to your wishes? Nope, but I do feel like we create an expectation and therefore see things in a better way. We don't change reality, we just view reality in a brighter light.
I just watched this last night and noticed that Mario is a living example of almost everything I have studied about “Law of Attraction,” Sprituality and metaphysics. I recommend that you read and learn all you can about these topics. It isn't easy but even people out of prison are battling with their own “prison.” Check out the book Ask and it is Given and really, really read it…..then follow up with other books written by the same author or others like that.
Everything in the universe has a vibration and the Law of Attraction brings all things of similar vibration together.
As you give your attention to something, your vibration begins to match it, and so you act as a magnet attracting more of what you are focusing on.
Your feelings are your experience of your vibration, so another way of saying the above is that you are attracting more of the way you feel.
So if you feel worried about your health, you can't attract wellness. If you're feel angry when you see your bills, you are not a vibrational match to prosperity.
In order to attract health, you have to bring yourself to a place of feeling good about your body and knowing that wellness is your natural state. In order to attract prosperity, you need to bring yourself to a place of feeling of freedom (what money frequently represents for people), aliveness, abundance, joy (all the things you would feel if you had lots of money).
As you identify what you want, a part of you gets automatically tuned to that desire and your feelings will tell you moment by moment whether you are moving towards your desire or away from it. Good feels good, bad feels bad – if you are giving your attention to something that is moving you towards your goal, you will feel positive emotion. If you are focusing on something in a way that is moving you away from your desire, you will feel negative emotion.
The trick, then, is to not to monitor your thoughts moment by moment, but focus on the way you feel and reach for better and better feeling thoughts (or give your attention to things in your outer life that feel good – things you feel appreciation for, the positive aspects of situations,etc.).

There are many different processes you can use to put it to work. Many are offered in the book, "Ask and it is Given" by Esther Hicks.

The Secret was originally based on the teachings of Abraham, from Jerry and Esther Hicks. They were in the original version (I own a copy) of the movie but were later edited out because of contractual disagreements.
Honestly, I don't believe the law of attraction works. I think it's an idea that excites people and gives them something good to believe in. My mom has been asking for a million dollars for 4 years now. She honestly believes that she will get it. She told everyone that she was gonna win Publishers Clearing House and had everything picked out that she was going to buy. Needless to say she didn't win and was quite disappointed.
I think that people should work to attain their desires instead of believing that everything will be handed to them.
the law of attraction has zero scientific value for the very reason that you question its validity. no scientific journal or research documents this 'law.' its made up by romance novelists and people of the sort.
The law of attraction teaches that we attract into our lives whatever we focus on. but burt wouldn't it be necessary or healthy to disassociate your thoughts by changing the emotion (like with tapping or accupuncture, as you mentioned once)? I just thought that the unconsciousness has many emotional, suppressed traumas saved and will express them and be attracted to them (law of attraction). Or do I miss a point here?

The law of attraction kind of works… but only if you are in a healthy state of mind. Right now, you are not. And getting your boyfriend back wouldn't fix it, either.
The law of attraction isn't about getting the things you think you want that you think will solve your problems. That's called desperation… and when you're desperate, you only attract things that will hurt you worse. The law of attraction is about visualizing you life the way you want it, and then working to get there. The more you visualize and the harder you work, the more you'll find that things go your way. When you are in a HEALTHY mindset about how you want your life to be, supportive people will be drawn to you. You'll notice more opportunities that come your way. You'll find it easier to weather setbacks and try again. When you are in an UNhealthy mindset, then what you are practicing is simply self-delusion.
I don't know about the "Law of Attraction," but I do know about "The Secret." Personally, I think Rhonda Byrnes ought to be prosecuted for this trash. For one thing, she has plagiarized so many writers that it is amazing she is not being sued by a dozen other self-help book authors. For another thing, her theory is full of it. She even went so far to suggest that people in Rwanda could have avoided being murdered had they just thought more positively. Furthermore, based on her point of view, you can tell a child it is their fault if their mother died of cancer. "Sorry, honey, but I guess you weren't positive enough." It is sick. No one should buy this witch's book and support her filth.
Don't get me wrong. Positive thinking is a good thing. It makes you better able to deal with your problems, and it CAN make you more successful. Byrnes takes it too far, suggesting you can change the world around you. Her evidence is totally anecdotal, simply ignoring the mountain of evidence that proves it wrong. A simple analogy can bust her theory. Say ten people arrive at a parking lot, and there is one good spot left. Say all ten of them are POSITIVE with ALL THEIR HEARTS that they will get that spot. Will all ten of them get it? No. Of course not. BUT… the person who did can go around all day and say, "See? I was positive, and I got the spot. That proves it works."
Rhonda Byrnes is that person who happened, through positive thinking somewhat, but mostly through hard work and dumb luck, to get that good parking spot. Sure, it is easy for her to say it works. She got lucky and wrote a best-selling book. If you buy it, however, you're just supporting another con-artist who is using her success to take advantage of people going through difficult times. That's the last thing our society needs. I think people like this rank right up there with rapists and child molesters. Yuck.
That said, I admire your intentions here. You're obviously a good person who wants to help people, and that is never a bad thing. For that matter, positive thinking is a good thing, too! Regardless, I think there are more active, effective, and useful ways to help little girls in Africa rather than sitting around hoping for the best and not doing anything. It's a cheap way to make yourself feel less guilty. Get out there and do some volunteer work or raise some money!

Great info.I watched the Secret DVD a few months ago and got another book on Law of Attraction, but it didn't really start happening for me until I wrote down my intentions. I found that to be VERY is a book I just got, which makes planning out your Law of Attraction goals easy. Just fill in the blanks and you've got a road map to follow. Has been working well so far.
there are no accidents. do you think it is an accident that you are here on earth at this time of great acceleration, do you think it is an accident who your family is, what lessons you have learned etc. i shouldnt even have to prove it lol you should just feel it in your heart that certain things happened for a reason. books are actually a good example of that, have you ever heard the saying the books choose you. visualization is a great topic, law of attraction, ask and it is given
I recomend you to read books or watch dvd called The Secret, Its about law of attraction ,basiccally whatever you think of and believe will manifest. I ve been practising it for the past 4 years and it works, all you do is to think about anything you want (doesn't matter how big it is) and visualise that in your mind and in here feeling is playing part too if you feel good about that means you can manifest what you want easyly if you don't feel good about that ,the stuff you think of to manifest will no chance to manifest and after you visualise you then believe that what ever you desire will happen

I think it is close to what the Bible, Torah and Qu'ran teach about asking God for something and then knowing that God will give you everything you need and want.
However, the thought that we can change the universe or that what we think has an impact on how healthy we are is not proven at all. If this were true, why would babies contract Leukemia or cancer? Surely babies aren't projecting fears of getting sick. An even harder pill to swallow is the abuse of children. The law of attraction would say that these children somehow bring it upon themselves.
I personally don't accept that at all.
I think the idea behind the Law of Attraction is mentally filtering your perception of your environment. That is good. By thinking positively, you see more positive things in your environment. That has a tremendous effect on your personal state. But yes, I do stay sceptical. However, calling it 'horrible', 'selfish' or other bad things is rather extreme. But that's fine too. Those extreme reactions have their use in keeping me alert and warning me to keep my distance from the people making them.

After spending a year trying to figure this one out I came to the conclusion that it's very true and real. I certainly did learn that I am very much in control of my own life, my achievements, my feelings, my finances, etc..
I have been working hard on myself to control all of this and to only think positively and to take action. The results is amazing and my life has really changed on all the areas I really wanted it too.

no what to do is to follow the law of attraction(what ever u imagine in ur mind invision positivity), put out POSITIVE ENERGY and allow Karma to treat u good. Questions such as 'Do you believe in the Law Of Attraction?' Is the Law Of Attraction real? Does the Law Of Attraction really work? Does it really exist? Is there any scientific basis to it?
These same questions are being asked AT LEAST once every other day both in Yahoo and all over the internet.
There are many people who are quick to say it's a 'scam' and label it B.S., rubbish, pseudoscience, a sham religion, etc………. others say it's real without giving a detailed explanation.
Let's put this issue to rest. The Law Of Attraction exists and is REAL. It has been around since the beginning of time, just like gravity. Everyone believes in gravity and no one questions it because gravity's effects are IMMEDIATE. If you jump out of a five story building, you'll fall down in no time.
People have a hard time accepting the Law Of Attraction because UNLIKE gravity, there's always a TIME DELAY associated with it.Your thoughts and emotions are INVISIBLE waves of energy, similar to radio waves. These invisible waves of energy take TIME to manifest into actual physical reality we can see with our eyes. When people think and feel a negative thought today and something bad happens to them days later, they don't associate the thought as having caused the effect.
The great electrical scientists such as Edison, Tesla, and Marconi all believed that thoughts could move through the air. They were certain that thoughts could affect things if the they are strong and clear. The noted astronomer Sir Arthur Eddington said it was NOT impossible that the physical laws of the universe could be made subject to human thought. And quantum physics doesn't rule it out either.
Nobel Prize Winner Werner Heisenberg, one of the pioneers of modern quantum physics, said, "Consciousness can shape reality."
The Secret was a well made movie. However, the Law Of Attraction is more complicated than what the movie teaches. There is MUCH more to the whole manifesting process. The movie should have made that clear, but it did NOT. When people who tried to follow what the movie taught and it didn't work for them, they started to have doubts and began to think it isn't real. The people and critics who were skeptical from the beginning were quick to say it's not real and is a scam or pseudoscience.
(That is part of the problem. The other problem is that many books out there teaching the Law Of Attraction are INCOMPLETE and are more motivational than anything else. Also, they present the information in such a manner that the average person has a hard time putting the information into practical use to get some real results.)
Again, the Law Of Attraction is VERY real but people need to study MUCH MORE into it besides just watching The Secret. You can't understand Aerospace Engineering math by just learning basic algebra. You need to go further into higher levels of math such as differential equations and advanced calculus.
In order to really understand the true nature of the Law Of Attraction, one needs to study MUCH more into it. Is it no surprise that almost every teacher featured in THE SECRET has their OWN specialized course on the Law Of Attraction?
The popular statement: "Whatever you spend your time and energy focusing on will eventually come to you" is true, BUT NOT THE FULL STORY. It is an oversimplification. You can't teach someone to bake a special cake by only telling them to 'get the right ingredients'. You need to go into the specifics such as which ingredients, how to properly mix, the right baking temperature, etc…..If even ONE step along the way isn't done correctly, the outcome will not be favorable.
So, it's NOT only about thinking what you want all the time and it appears right in front of you.
There is a step by step scientific process to making the law of attraction work. The problem is most people never learn the whole process. All books (including The Secret) out there seem to give bits of info here and there. Some give too much information, not enough or, are so hard to understand that people are never able to apply any of the information they learn.
If the law of attraction isn't working for you, you probably don't have all the information you need as well as explained to you in a manner in which you can understand and APPLY it.

The LAW of attraction (often applied to economics) is a New Age law, not a law of science that actually has some evidential basis. Practicing the LAW isn't significantly different than a Wiccan Ceremony. It doesn't LOOK like it, but at the heart, same thing. It's called in the parlance "Magical Thinking". Not substantially different than the primitive tribesman who wears a bear claw to infuse him with the strength of the bear. Like attracts like in Magic. As above so below we hear. Whatever happened to the romantic "law" Opposites Attract? Perhaps using the "Secret" you'll end up with exactly the opposite of what you seek. There's an old adage. Be careful what you ask for, you might actually get it! Ha ha ha. Books like that are just a way for the author to make a zillion dollars and then claim with a nice poker face that it was his or her principles that made him rich like the book "Think and Grow Rich" by another literary con-man. The author in question created a best seller and made millions. But it was not the "principle" the "secrets" revealed in his book that made him rich, but the blockheads who bought into it and wasted their hard earned moolah on such drivel. Here's two economic "laws" for you that you should be aware of: It takes money to make money. It's not what you know but who you know. That's why the rich keep on getting richer and the poor poorer. Money making is a skill just like Figure Skating or playing the piano. It takes hard work and sound knowledge and good connections. There is no instant "secret" to wealth (short of winning Powerball), or success in real estate sales, marketing or even romance or health besides sound knowledge applied with diligence and hard work, and a little "help from your friends" as the immortal John Lennon sang. A little luck never hurt either!

I think it is close to what the Bible, Torah and Qu'ran teach about asking God for something and then knowing that God will give you everything you need and want.
However, the thought that we can change the universe or that what we think has an impact on how healthy we are is not proven at all. If this were true, why would babies contract Leukemia or cancer? Surely babies aren't projecting fears of getting sick. An even harder pill to swallow is the abuse of children. The law of attraction would say that these children somehow bring it upon themselves.
I personally don't accept that at all.

As a quick story of note, my last class in college was a programming class. I learned the language, prepared for the test, but DID NOT attend class at all. When I got to the final, which was 60% of the course grade, every question but one related to in-class business stories the teacher had told. There was one question asking us to write a small program.
I wrote the program, guessed at the others (multi-choice, some fill in blank), and took the test to the teacher and told him "I did not attend class, but I know the language that this class is focused on up and down."
I made a B on the test that I shouldn't have even passed.
After spending a year trying to figure this one out I came to the conclusion that it's very true and real. I certainly did learn that I am very much in control of my own life, my achievements, my feelings, my finances, etc..
I have been working hard on myself to control all of this and to only think positively and to take action. The results is amazing and my life has really changed on all the areas I really wanted it too.

Great comments. I think they addressed those concepts the way they did to get the general public interested in the video, it's a really condensed, generalized DVD of the law of attraction for the masses. They also didn't address the role of emotions properly, every emotion is like a note on a musical scale, they aren't good/bad and one isn't better than the other. They can be used to manifest different things.

The law of attraction kind of works… but only if you are in a healthy state of mind. Right now, you are not. And getting your boyfriend back wouldn't fix it, either.
The law of attraction isn't about getting the things you think you want that you think will solve your problems. That's called desperation… and when you're desperate, you only attract things that will hurt you worse. The law of attraction is about visualizing you life the way you want it, and then working to get there. The more you visualize and the harder you work, the more you'll find that things go your way. When you are in a HEALTHY mindset about how you want your life to be, supportive people will be drawn to you. You'll notice more opportunities that come your way. You'll find it easier to weather setbacks and try again. When you are in an UNhealthy mindset, then what you are practicing is simply self-delusion.

It's a relatively simple concept, which is that whatever energy you send out into the Universe, is what energy you will attract into your life. Some people "use" the Law of Attraction by sending out energy to attract what they want in their life.
It is my belief that the ‘secret’ along with many other popular modern day teachings have destroyed many more lives than they have helped. It would be really helpful to do a survey of the effect of these ‘law of attraction’ teachings. I would like to see the percentages of people who got what they wanted compared to the others who attracted chaos, death and failure into their lives.
In reference to the Grandma's statement that its miraculous that all the children were healthy I would agree. I would also add that its was the law of attraction working in overdrive. Jerry says that he had never heard the words Law of Attraction pre-Abe (see The Law of Attraction). Esther claims in Part 3 of her Oprah interview to have not heard the word-pre-Abraham. My point with this is that Jerry had easy access to have heard it pre-Abe (He even cites 3 authors who used this term in ANBI as being his “mentors”). Also, they did try to trademark it in 2006. This suggests they believed they had some proprietorship over it.

Is it wrong to strive to be rich? Like, using the Law of Attraction and etc? I'm a Bible-Christian, living in Portugal, and I do my best to obey God's Word. I sin everyday, sometimes I think God's not gonna take me seriously when I ask 4 forgiveness. The dreams that I have of being wealthy n prosperous, is He who putted them in my heart? I want 2 have more so that I can do more 4 others. The weird thing is that since I started following Jesus my life has turned upside down! Is it normal??
I have no doubt that a positive attitude, belief in yourself, preparation, etc., are more likely to bring about a desired outcome, but IMHO, this is not a metaphysical principle. Rather, it's simply the conjunction of preparation and opportunity…and there still are no guarantees of success or achievement. Again, just my opinion, but I think this whole “Law of Attraction” dynamic is a bit oversold. But hey, if it works for you then who am I to argue?.

I think you need to read "Ask And It Is Given" by Jerry and Esther Hicks. They are the one's who introduced Rhonda Byrnes to it!
Because, if you're truly following it . . . and yes, it is a process . . .and the book above is a step by step guide to doing it each and everyday; much more in depth than "The Secret".
If you are on that path . . .you will follow your "inspired action" and not even, once, worry about anyone, at all calling you selfish, crazy, weird or whatever.
Law of attraction is being who you really are . . .
A positive, happy and fulfilled person, living your bliss! And no one, not one person, can stop you from that which is yours . . .
In law of attraction you must "tell the story" you want to live . . .
Not the story that "is" or "that was" . .. for whatever you focus attracts more of the same . . .
If you focus on your hard life . . . or his . . . YOU attract more of that to you . . .
The other way to truly introduce it to others is to live it!!!
If others see your life and mostly, your attitude, being positive, happy and fulfilled . . .they will ask "What is that you do?"
And then, there's your chance to tell them all about it … or show them.
In the end, though, dear, it's not about introducing him to this way of thinking . . . that is about him and his process.
He will not do it until he attracts it . . . is ready to "hear" it . . no matter how many books you give him.
He may not think you're crazy, but he may say you are interferring in his life or trying to tell him what to do . . .

She told everyone that she was gonna win Publishers Clearing House and had everything picked out that she was going to buy. Needless to say she didn't win and was quite disappointed.

The Law of Attraction says people's thoughts (both conscious and unconscious) dictate the reality of their lives, whether or not they're aware of it. Essentially "if you really want something and truly believe it's possible, you'll get it", but putting a lot of attention and thought onto something you don't want means you'll probably get that too.
Test it, you will find it unverifyable. However, I have had some success in my youth with conceptualization of goals. The discipline I used is outlined in the book "Psycho-Cybernetics". Basically it is self hypnotism.
I wouldn't try it now, as I believe it unGodly.
However, I will say that the things you SAY are important in the spiritual realm and affects your life on earth.

Can't agree with you on that. I've done a lot of reading on teh law of attraction and it's a completely different thing. It's about purposely concentrating on something so hard that you make it happen or make someone or something appear in your life. This is random and not done on purpose and doesn't make the thing or person come into my life.
I don't know about the "Law of Attraction," but I do know about "The Secret." Personally, I think Rhonda Byrnes ought to be prosecuted for this trash. For one thing, she has plagiarized so many writers that it is amazing she is not being sued by a dozen other self-help book authors. For another thing, her theory is full of it. She even went so far to suggest that people in Rwanda could have avoided being murdered had they just thought more positively. Furthermore, based on her point of view, you can tell a child it is their fault if their mother died of cancer. "Sorry, honey, but I guess you weren't positive enough." It is sick. No one should buy this witch's book and support her filth.
Don't get me wrong. Positive thinking is a good thing. It makes you better able to deal with your problems, and it CAN make you more successful. Byrnes takes it too far, suggesting you can change the world around you. Her evidence is totally anecdotal, simply ignoring the mountain of evidence that proves it wrong. A simple analogy can bust her theory. Say ten people arrive at a parking lot, and there is one good spot left. Say all ten of them are POSITIVE with ALL THEIR HEARTS that they will get that spot. Will all ten of them get it? No. Of course not. BUT… the person who did can go around all day and say, "See? I was positive, and I got the spot. That proves it works."
Rhonda Byrnes is that person who happened, through positive thinking somewhat, but mostly through hard work and dumb luck, to get that good parking spot. Sure, it is easy for her to say it works. She got lucky and wrote a best-selling book. If you buy it, however, you're just supporting another con-artist who is using her success to take advantage of people going through difficult times. That's the last thing our society needs. I think people like this rank right up there with rapists and child molesters. Yuck.
That said, I admire your intentions here. You're obviously a good person who wants to help people, and that is never a bad thing. For that matter, positive thinking is a good thing, too! Regardless, I think there are more active, effective, and useful ways to help little girls in Africa rather than sitting around hoping for the best and not doing anything. It's a cheap way to make yourself feel less guilty. Get out there and do some volunteer work or raise some money!

I believe in the law of attraction but I jus wanna know how do you handle tough/sad or upsetting times without thinking negative? If you think good thoughts ull feel good therefore good things will come to you. But how do you feel good…when something’s mAke u sad? Etc. Jus curious and needed some clarity. So this summer i was working at some factory and i hated the job sooo much. One day before i went to work my dad said he needed the car at lunch time to go to doctors so i was super super super excited all day while working, picturing in my mind how fun it will be to leave work in the middle, get some fresh air, put the volume on full in the radio and just take my time while driving to my dad… Anyways, come lunch time my dad calls and says he desn't need the car anymore… I got really really angry because all day i was waiting for this you know? anyways i eat my lunch kind of pissed off and say what ever, and go back to work……. 5 minutes after i start working after lunch my BOSS calls me into his office and says " hey i need you to drive my car to my wifes house and give her this stack of money she needs to pay the roofers" I WAS SHOOOOOCKED!!! i was soooo happy and thanked the universe for giving me what i wanted!!! i drove fast, with the windows down, music blaring, and took my sweeeet ass time not only that but i got paid for doing it!! if i were to drive my dad i would have had to sign out!!! you know?? so thats proof #1

well my whole life i wanted to go to this certain college and always in highschooli pictured and read everying aobut the sschool and what t would be like, and how i would feel etc.
anyways, i auditioned for the college… and didnt get in! i was devastated!!! i thought my whole life would suck but a couple months after i got an offer to study abroad at a school that was connected to my dream school… anyways i went for one year to study abroad, had the most amazing time of my entire life (like INSANE time) and while i was there i auditioned again for my school, and i got in WITH A SCHOLARSHIP!!! not only that but i learned soo much during studying abroad that when i started my dream school, i was ahead of MY WHOOOLLEe entering class!!
so lessons: EVERYTHING happens for a reason, and the law of attraction works, whether u like it or not!
the key is to never give up, always have goals, visualize, and have feelings attached to what ever you want. FEEL WHAT IT WILL FEEL LIKE WHEN U GET IT!

by the way bro, there IS scientific proof that it works. its documented in a bunch of books. apprently everything is energy, LIKE EVERYTHING! and when u think a thought, you send out an energy wave. this in turn attracts other waves and i dunno lol read about its pretty amazing. but TRUST me on this the law works. i use it every single day of my life, and i has never failed. and if i think it is failing, then i just think back to all my success stories. My experiences and struggles with activating the Law of Attraction reveals that in order for the universe to fulfill or bring about one’s intended outcome, the individual needs to be vibrating at a particular frequency. That is to say he/she must already be living in alignment/harmony with the universe. I believe you may have mentioned something to this effect in the Law of Intention in 7 Spiritual Laws of Success. That bit of detail seemingly is overlooked by many of us.
I recomend you to read books or watch dvd called The Secret, Its about law of attraction ,basiccally whatever you think of and believe will manifest. I ve been practising it for the past 4 years and it works, all you do is to think about anything you want (doesn't matter how big it is) and visualise that in your mind and in here feeling is playing part too if you feel good about that means you can manifest what you want easyly if you don't feel good about that ,the stuff you think of to manifest will no chance to manifest and after you visualise you then believe that what ever you desire will happen
So far i allready manifest computer laptop, motorbike ,bedside table and so on.It will take practice though,and start with small first like manifesting a book or cup of coffee. Good Luck!

One day before i went to work my dad said he needed the car at lunch time to go to doctors so i was super super super excited all day while working, picturing in my mind how fun it will be to leave work in the middle, get some fresh air, put the volume on full in the radio and just take my time while driving to my dad… Anyways, come lunch time my dad calls and says he desn't need the car anymore… I got really really angry because all day i was waiting for this you know? anyways i eat my lunch kind of pissed off and say what ever, and go back to work……. 5 minutes after i start working after lunch my BOSS calls me into his office and says " hey i need you to drive my car to my wifes house and give her this stack of money she needs to pay the roofers" I WAS SHOOOOOCKED!!! i was soooo happy and thanked the universe for giving me what i wanted!!! i drove fast, with the windows down, music blaring, and took my sweeeet ass time not only that but i got paid for doing it!! if i were to drive my dad i would have had to sign out!!! you know?? so thats proof #1

well my whole life i wanted to go to this certain college and always in highschooli pictured and read everying aobut the sschool and what t would be like, and how i would feel etc.
anyways, i auditioned for the college… and didnt get in! i was devastated!!! i thought my whole life would suck but a couple months after i got an offer to study abroad at a school that was connected to my dream school… anyways i went for one year to study abroad, had the most amazing time of my entire life (like INSANE time) and while i was there i auditioned again for my school, and i got in WITH A SCHOLARSHIP!!! not only that but i learned soo much during studying abroad that when i started my dream school, i was ahead of MY WHOOOLLEe entering class!!
so lessons: EVERYTHING happens for a reason, and the law of attraction works, whether u like it or not!
the key is to never give up, always have goals, visualize, and have feelings attached to what ever you want. FEEL WHAT IT WILL FEEL LIKE WHEN U GET IT!

by the way bro, there IS scientific proof that it works. its documented in a bunch of books. apprently everything is energy, LIKE EVERYTHING! and when u think a thought, you send out an energy wave. this in turn attracts other waves and i dunno lol read about its pretty amazing. but TRUST me on this the law works. i use it every single day of my life, and i has never failed. and if i think it is failing, then i just think back to all my success stories. I am in total alignment with "Miz D" on this in reality but have to say that when I am feeling well – ie my cerebellum allows for clear thought processes and coordination; I would say that "The Law of Attraction" is true.
When the weather is not hot, I haven't eaten wheat or dairy for awhile and I have energy I can focus and create and get things done. It is something to work at and one must never give up hope on attaining an ideal in something.
However I am a Christian and I have a body and live with other humans so things do not always go to plan.

This is a great video ! I read a book called Life’s Recipe For a Rich Soul with the help of the Law of attraction and that book changed my life. I wanted to pass it along it made me into a person I never thought I would be today.
I recomend you to read books or watch dvd called The Secret, Its about law of attraction ,basiccally whatever you think of and believe will manifest. I ve been practising it for the past 4 years and it works, all you do is to think about anything you want (doesn't matter how big it is) and visualise that in your mind and in here feeling is playing part too if you feel good about that means you can manifest what you want easyly if you don't feel good about that ,the stuff you think of to manifest will no chance to manifest and after you visualise you then believe that what ever you desire will happen
So far i allready manifest computer laptop, motorbike ,bedside table and so on.It will take practice though,and start with small first like manifesting a book or cup of coffee. Good Luck!

As a quick story of note, my last class in college was a programming class. I learned the language, prepared for the test, but DID NOT attend class at all. When I got to the final, which was 60% of the course grade, every question but one related to in-class business stories the teacher had told. There was one question asking us to write a small program.

This spoke volumes to me…..i've known this & experienced it now abraham has articulated it with such clear & accurate WORDS. Not nessesacerialy, however because if you have been think negativeley for that long, i guess it would take a while to get it out of your subconsious. I have recently mastered the law of attraction, after a long time of undertstanding, and i beleieve that its not just thinking you have something, its knowing. And I know theyve alreafy told you this, however, i mean you cant just 'know' that you have something, but think it ALL the time and you will literally like hypnotise yourself into knowing that you have it, and its not like a "yeah, i know i have $10,000, kind of", its "Oh yeah! These same questions are being asked AT LEAST once every other day both in Yahoo and all over the internet.
There are many people who are quick to say it's a 'scam' and label it B.S., rubbish, pseudoscience, a sham religion, etc………. others say it's real without giving a detailed explanation.
Let's put this issue to rest. The Law Of Attraction exists and is REAL. It has been around since the beginning of time, just like gravity. Everyone believes in gravity and no one questions it because gravity's effects are IMMEDIATE. If you jump out of a five story building, you'll fall down in no time.
People have a hard time accepting the Law Of Attraction because UNLIKE gravity, there's always a TIME DELAY associated with it.Your thoughts and emotions are INVISIBLE waves of energy, similar to radio waves. These invisible waves of energy take TIME to manifest into actual physical reality we can see with our eyes. When people think and feel a negative thought today and something bad happens to them days later, they don't associate the thought as having caused the effect.
The great electrical scientists such as Edison, Tesla, and Marconi all believed that thoughts could move through the air. They were certain that thoughts could affect things if the they are strong and clear. The noted astronomer Sir Arthur Eddington said it was NOT impossible that the physical laws of the universe could be made subject to human thought. And quantum physics doesn't rule it out either.
Nobel Prize Winner Werner Heisenberg, one of the pioneers of modern quantum physics, said, "Consciousness can shape reality."
The Secret was a well made movie. However, the Law Of Attraction is more complicated than what the movie teaches. There is MUCH more to the whole manifesting process. The movie should have made that clear, but it did NOT. When people who tried to follow what the movie taught and it didn't work for them, they started to have doubts and began to think it isn't real. The people and critics who were skeptical from the beginning were quick to say it's not real and is a scam or pseudoscience.
(That is part of the problem. The other problem is that many books out there teaching the Law Of Attraction are INCOMPLETE and are more motivational than anything else. Also, they present the information in such a manner that the average person has a hard time putting the information into practical use to get some real results.)
Again, the Law Of Attraction is VERY real but people need to study MUCH MORE into it besides just watching The Secret. You can't understand Aerospace Engineering math by just learning basic algebra. You need to go further into higher levels of math such as differential equations and advanced calculus.
In order to really understand the true nature of the Law Of Attraction, one needs to study MUCH more into it. Is it no surprise that almost every teacher featured in THE SECRET has their OWN specialized course on the Law Of Attraction?
The popular statement: "Whatever you spend your time and energy focusing on will eventually come to you" is true, BUT NOT THE FULL STORY. It is an oversimplification. You can't teach someone to bake a special cake by only telling them to 'get the right ingredients'. You need to go into the specifics such as which ingredients, how to properly mix, the right baking temperature, etc…..If even ONE step along the way isn't done correctly, the outcome will not be favorable.
So, it's NOT only about thinking what you want all the time and it appears right in front of you.
There is a step by step scientific process to making the law of attraction work. The problem is most people never learn the whole process. All books (including The Secret) out there seem to give bits of info here and there. Some give too much information, not enough or, are so hard to understand that people are never able to apply any of the information they learn.
If the law of attraction isn't working for you, you probably don't have all the information you need as well as explained to you in a manner in which you can understand and APPLY it.

The “non local probability” you refer to is called a wave function, the existance of sub atomic particles in more than one location simultaniously until consciously observed. The collapse of the wave function to a single location is caused by the conscious observer, people, and what they believe.
Now, everyone is an observer, so everyone is collapsing the wave function to set reality.
What we need to do, is affect the fundamental beliefs of those around us in order to collapse the wave function to a location that is more condusive to our image of reality, this is where the law of attraction comes in.
Through the law of attraction, we engage with other minds at a universal vibrational level, and alter their fundamental belief about reality to collapse the wave function in our favour.
The law of attraction is not about things, it is about people.

Blaming and justification is what we call 'living below the line'. In Law of Attraction, it's focusing the thought at the negative energy and will attract more of this.

lady0fdarkness, I've not read the book “the Secret” but heard of it. I think it's the same concept as Abraham-Hicks, the law of attraction, her original concept has inspired many books and movies.
So the Secret is the law of attraction, everything that’s coming into your life you’re attracting into your life, and it’s attracted to you by virtue of the images you’re holding in your mind. It’s what you’re thinking, so whatever is going on in your mind you are attracting to you. They said if you think bad thoughts then you are attracting bad things, and vice versa. I think the law of attraction is like the law of the universe.

It doesn't. Here's and experiment for you. Stand outside in the middle of June or July with a Snow Cone and see if you can attract a Winter Storm. Good luck. Meanwhile, I'll be eating my Snow Cone. The LAW of attraction (often applied to economics) is a New Age law, not a law of science that actually has some evidential basis. Practicing the LAW isn't significantly different than a Wiccan Ceremony. It doesn't LOOK like it, but at the heart, same thing. It's called in the parlance "Magical Thinking". Not substantially different than the primitive tribesman who wears a bear claw to infuse him with the strength of the bear. Like attracts like in Magic. As above so below we hear. Whatever happened to the romantic "law" Opposites Attract? Perhaps using the "Secret" you'll end up with exactly the opposite of what you seek. There's an old adage. Be careful what you ask for, you might actually get it! Ha ha ha. Books like that are just a way for the author to make a zillion dollars and then claim with a nice poker face that it was his or her principles that made him rich like the book "Think and Grow Rich" by another literary con-man. The author in question created a best seller and made millions. But it was not the "principle" the "secrets" revealed in his book that made him rich, but the blockheads who bought into it and wasted their hard earned moolah on such drivel. Here's two economic "laws" for you that you should be aware of: It takes money to make money. It's not what you know but who you know. That's why the rich keep on getting richer and the poor poorer. Money making is a skill just like Figure Skating or playing the piano. It takes hard work and sound knowledge and good connections. There is no instant "secret" to wealth (short of winning Powerball), or success in real estate sales, marketing or even romance or health besides sound knowledge applied with diligence and hard work, and a little "help from your friends" as the immortal John Lennon sang. A little luck never hurt either!
Modern consensus among New Thought thinkers is that the Law of Attraction says people's thoughts (both conscious and unconscious) dictate the reality of their lives, whether or not they're aware of it. Essentially "if you really want something and truly believe it's possible, you'll get it", but putting a lot of attention and thought onto something you don't want means you'll probably get that too.
I am of the thought that is you really want something you will have to put some effort into getting it.

I don't know about the "Law of Attraction," but I do know about "The Secret." Personally, I think Rhonda Byrnes ought to be prosecuted for this trash. For one thing, she has plagiarized so many writers that it is amazing she is not being sued by a dozen other self-help book authors. For another thing, her theory is full of it. She even went so far to suggest that people in Rwanda could have avoided being murdered had they just thought more positively. Furthermore, based on her point of view, you can tell a child it is their fault if their mother died of cancer. "Sorry, honey, but I guess you weren't positive enough." It is sick. No one should buy this witch's book and support her filth.
Don't get me wrong. Positive thinking is a good thing. It makes you better able to deal with your problems, and it CAN make you more successful. Byrnes takes it too far, suggesting you can change the world around you. Her evidence is totally anecdotal, simply ignoring the mountain of evidence that proves it wrong. A simple analogy can bust her theory. Say ten people arrive at a parking lot, and there is one good spot left. Say all ten of them are POSITIVE with ALL THEIR HEARTS that they will get that spot. Will all ten of them get it? No. Of course not. BUT… the person who did can go around all day and say, "See? I was positive, and I got the spot. That proves it works."
Rhonda Byrnes is that person who happened, through positive thinking somewhat, but mostly through hard work and dumb luck, to get that good parking spot. Sure, it is easy for her to say it works. She got lucky and wrote a best-selling book. If you buy it, however, you're just supporting another con-artist who is using her success to take advantage of people going through difficult times. That's the last thing our society needs. I think people like this rank right up there with rapists and child molesters. Yuck.
That said, I admire your intentions here. You're obviously a good person who wants to help people, and that is never a bad thing. For that matter, positive thinking is a good thing, too! Regardless, I think there are more active, effective, and useful ways to help little girls in Africa rather than sitting around hoping for the best and not doing anything. It's a cheap way to make yourself feel less guilty. Get out there and do some volunteer work or raise some money!

Law of attraction is a law just like gravity is a law. The only problem with proving it scientifically is it is based on vibrations. Because our thoughts create our feelings and our feelings create our vibrations, it cannot be scientifically proven, as there could be no control group that would all feel the exact same way for the exact same amount of time and the exact same intensity on the exact same subject.

Well, here's what I think. I don't believe we can create reality with our minds, as this new age law of attraction stuff suggests. I do think that if we expect a positive outcome, we kind of throw that out there and view life through a more positive lens. In a sense life brightens up in some way. If you start the day going, "This day is gonna suck" it probably will. If you say, "Hey, hello, happy day!" probably you are looking for a good day. Do I think the day magically bends to your wishes? Nope, but I do feel like we create an expectation and therefore see things in a better way. We don't change reality, we just view reality in a brighter light.

I just watched this last night and noticed that Mario is a living example of almost everything I have studied about “Law of Attraction,” Sprituality and metaphysics. I recommend that you read and learn all you can about these topics. It isn't easy but even people out of prison are battling with their own “prison.” Check out the book Ask and it is Given and really, really read it…..then follow up with other books written by the same author or others like that.
Everything in the universe has a vibration and the Law of Attraction brings all things of similar vibration together.
As you give your attention to something, your vibration begins to match it, and so you act as a magnet attracting more of what you are focusing on.
Your feelings are your experience of your vibration, so another way of saying the above is that you are attracting more of the way you feel.
So if you feel worried about your health, you can't attract wellness. If you're feel angry when you see your bills, you are not a vibrational match to prosperity.
In order to attract health, you have to bring yourself to a place of feeling good about your body and knowing that wellness is your natural state. In order to attract prosperity, you need to bring yourself to a place of feeling of freedom (what money frequently represents for people), aliveness, abundance, joy (all the things you would feel if you had lots of money).
As you identify what you want, a part of you gets automatically tuned to that desire and your feelings will tell you moment by moment whether you are moving towards your desire or away from it. Good feels good, bad feels bad – if you are giving your attention to something that is moving you towards your goal, you will feel positive emotion. If you are focusing on something in a way that is moving you away from your desire, you will feel negative emotion.
The trick, then, is to not to monitor your thoughts moment by moment, but focus on the way you feel and reach for better and better feeling thoughts (or give your attention to things in your outer life that feel good – things you feel appreciation for, the positive aspects of situations,etc.).

There are many different processes you can use to put it to work. Many are offered in the book, "Ask and it is Given" by Esther Hicks.

Honestly, I don't believe the law of attraction works. I think it's an idea that excites people and gives them something good to believe in. My mom has been asking for a million dollars for 4 years now. She honestly believes that she will get it. She told everyone that she was gonna win Publishers Clearing House and had everything picked out that she was going to buy. Needless to say she didn't win and was quite disappointed.
I think that people should work to attain their desires instead of believing that everything will be handed to them.

Because, if you're truly following it . . . and yes, it is a process . . .and the book above is a step by step guide to doing it each and everyday; much more in depth than "The Secret".
If you are on that path . . .you will follow your "inspired action" and not even, once, worry about anyone, at all calling you selfish, crazy, weird or whatever.
Law of attraction is being who you really are . . .
A positive, happy and fulfilled person, living your bliss! And no one, not one person, can stop you from that which is yours . . .

but burt wouldn't it be necessary or healthy to disassociate your thoughts by changing the emotion (like with tapping or accupuncture, as you mentioned once)? The law of attraction isn't about getting the things you think you want that you think will solve your problems. That's called desperation… and when you're desperate, you only attract things that will hurt you worse. We're not able to measure a lot of things. And just because we don't know how, doesn't mean it's not possible.

I recomend you to read books or watch dvd called The Secret, Its about law of attraction ,basiccally whatever you think of and believe will manifest. I ve been practising it for the past 4 years and it works, all you do is to think about anything you want (doesn't matter how big it is) and visualise that in your mind and in here feeling is playing part too if you feel good about that means you can manifest what you want easyly if you don't feel good about that ,the stuff you think of to manifest will no chance to manifest and after you visualise you then believe that what ever you desire will happen
So far i allready manifest computer laptop, motorbike ,bedside table and so on.It will take practice though,and start with small first like manifesting a book or cup of coffee. Good Luck!
I've been researching the Law of Attraction, and came across this well written book, called The Attraction Distraction, by Sonia Miller.
What I love about The Attraction Distraction is that it takes the Law of Attraction to a whole new level. I think it is close to what the Bible, Torah and Qu'ran teach about asking God for something and then knowing that God will give you everything you need and want.
However, the thought that we can change the universe or that what we think has an impact on how healthy we are is not proven at all. If this were true, why would babies contract Leukemia or cancer? Surely babies aren't projecting fears of getting sick. An even harder pill to swallow is the abuse of children. The law of attraction would say that these children somehow bring it upon themselves.
I personally don't accept that at all.

I think the idea behind the Law of Attraction is mentally filtering your perception of your environment. That is good. By thinking positively, you see more positive things in your environment. That has a tremendous effect on your personal state. But yes, I do stay sceptical. However, calling it 'horrible', 'selfish' or other bad things is rather extreme. But that's fine too. Those extreme reactions have their use in keeping me alert and warning me to keep my distance from the people making them.
As usual, you did an awesome job answering this week's topic! I especially appreciated the law of attraction part. It was a good reminder to me to stop thinking about everything that could go wrong! I have had amazing success in the past with visualization but life sometimes gets so hectic that we just respond to events instead of shaping them.
The law of attraction kind of works… but only if you are in a healthy state of mind. Right now, you are not. And getting your boyfriend back wouldn't fix it, either.

That's called desperation… and when you're desperate, you only attract things that will hurt you worse. I thought I'd take a wild stab here, but I think I'm onto something . . . . .
I think you need to read "Ask And It Is Given" by Jerry and Esther Hicks. They are the one's who introduced Rhonda Byrnes to it!
Because, if you're truly following it . . . and yes, it is a process . . .and the book above is a step by step guide to doing it each and everyday; much more in depth than "The Secret".
If you are on that path . . .you will follow your "inspired action" and not even, once, worry about anyone, at all calling you selfish, crazy, weird or whatever.
Law of attraction is being who you really are . . .
A positive, happy and fulfilled person, living your bliss! And no one, not one person, can stop you from that which is yours . . .
In law of attraction you must "tell the story" you want to live . . .
Not the story that "is" or "that was" . .. for whatever you focus attracts more of the same . . .
If you focus on your hard life . . . or his . . . YOU attract more of that to you . . .
The other way to truly introduce it to others is to live it!!!
If others see your life and mostly, your attitude, being positive, happy and fulfilled . . .they will ask "What is that you do?"
And then, there's your chance to tell them all about it … or show them.

After spending a year trying to figure this one out I came to the conclusion that it's very true and real. I certainly did learn that I am very much in control of my own life, my achievements, my feelings, my finances, etc..
I have been working hard on myself to control all of this and to only think positively and to take action. The results is amazing and my life has really changed on all the areas I really wanted it too.

Questions such as 'Do you believe in the Law Of Attraction?' Is the Law Of Attraction real? Does the Law Of Attraction really work? Does it really exist? Is there any scientific basis to it?
These same questions are being asked AT LEAST once every other day both in Yahoo and all over the internet.
There are many people who are quick to say it's a 'scam' and label it B.S., rubbish, pseudoscience, a sham religion, etc………. others say it's real without giving a detailed explanation.
Let's put this issue to rest. The Law Of Attraction exists and is REAL. It has been around since the beginning of time, just like gravity. Everyone believes in gravity and no one questions it because gravity's effects are IMMEDIATE. If you jump out of a five story building, you'll fall down in no time.
People have a hard time accepting the Law Of Attraction because UNLIKE gravity, there's always a TIME DELAY associated with it.Your thoughts and emotions are INVISIBLE waves of energy, similar to radio waves. These invisible waves of energy take TIME to manifest into actual physical reality we can see with our eyes. When people think and feel a negative thought today and something bad happens to them days later, they don't associate the thought as having caused the effect.
The great electrical scientists such as Edison, Tesla, and Marconi all believed that thoughts could move through the air. They were certain that thoughts could affect things if the they are strong and clear. The noted astronomer Sir Arthur Eddington said it was NOT impossible that the physical laws of the universe could be made subject to human thought. And quantum physics doesn't rule it out either.
Nobel Prize Winner Werner Heisenberg, one of the pioneers of modern quantum physics, said, "Consciousness can shape reality."
The Secret was a well made movie. However, the Law Of Attraction is more complicated than what the movie teaches. There is MUCH more to the whole manifesting process. The movie should have made that clear, but it did NOT. When people who tried to follow what the movie taught and it didn't work for them, they started to have doubts and began to think it isn't real. The people and critics who were skeptical from the beginning were quick to say it's not real and is a scam or pseudoscience.
(That is part of the problem. The other problem is that many books out there teaching the Law Of Attraction are INCOMPLETE and are more motivational than anything else. Also, they present the information in such a manner that the average person has a hard time putting the information into practical use to get some real results.)
Again, the Law Of Attraction is VERY real but people need to study MUCH MORE into it besides just watching The Secret. You can't understand Aerospace Engineering math by just learning basic algebra. You need to go further into higher levels of math such as differential equations and advanced calculus.
In order to really understand the true nature of the Law Of Attraction, one needs to study MUCH more into it. Is it no surprise that almost every teacher featured in THE SECRET has their OWN specialized course on the Law Of Attraction?
The popular statement: "Whatever you spend your time and energy focusing on will eventually come to you" is true, BUT NOT THE FULL STORY. It is an oversimplification. You can't teach someone to bake a special cake by only telling them to 'get the right ingredients'. You need to go into the specifics such as which ingredients, how to properly mix, the right baking temperature, etc…..If even ONE step along the way isn't done correctly, the outcome will not be favorable.
So, it's NOT only about thinking what you want all the time and it appears right in front of you.
There is a step by step scientific process to making the law of attraction work. The problem is most people never learn the whole process. All books (including The Secret) out there seem to give bits of info here and there. Some give too much information, not enough or, are so hard to understand that people are never able to apply any of the information they learn.
If the law of attraction isn't working for you, you probably don't have all the information you need as well as explained to you in a manner in which you can understand and APPLY it.

The LAW of attraction (often applied to economics) is a New Age law, not a law of science that actually has some evidential basis. Practicing the LAW isn't significantly different than a Wiccan Ceremony. It doesn't LOOK like it, but at the heart, same thing. It's called in the parlance "Magical Thinking". Not substantially different than the primitive tribesman who wears a bear claw to infuse him with the strength of the bear. Like attracts like in Magic. As above so below we hear. Whatever happened to the romantic "law" Opposites Attract? Perhaps using the "Secret" you'll end up with exactly the opposite of what you seek. There's an old adage. Be careful what you ask for, you might actually get it! Ha ha ha. Books like that are just a way for the author to make a zillion dollars and then claim with a nice poker face that it was his or her principles that made him rich like the book "Think and Grow Rich" by another literary con-man. The author in question created a best seller and made millions. But it was not the "principle" the "secrets" revealed in his book that made him rich, but the blockheads who bought into it and wasted their hard earned moolah on such drivel. Here's two economic "laws" for you that you should be aware of: It takes money to make money. It's not what you know but who you know. That's why the rich keep on getting richer and the poor poorer. Money making is a skill just like Figure Skating or playing the piano. It takes hard work and sound knowledge and good connections. There is no instant "secret" to wealth (short of winning Powerball), or success in real estate sales, marketing or even romance or health besides sound knowledge applied with diligence and hard work, and a little "help from your friends" as the immortal John Lennon sang. A little luck never hurt either!

As a quick story of note, my last class in college was a programming class. I learned the language, prepared for the test, but DID NOT attend class at all. When I got to the final, which was 60% of the course grade, every question but one related to in-class business stories the teacher had told. There was one question asking us to write a small program.
I wrote the program, guessed at the others (multi-choice, some fill in blank), and took the test to the teacher and told him "I did not attend class, but I know the language that this class is focused on up and down."
I made a B on the test that I shouldn't have even passed.

I think they addressed those concepts the way they did to get the general public interested in the video, it's a really condensed, generalized DVD of the law of attraction for the masses. The Law of Attraction says people's thoughts (both conscious and unconscious) dictate the reality of their lives, whether or not they're aware of it. Can't agree with you on that. I've done a lot of reading on teh law of attraction and it's a completely different thing. It's about purposely concentrating on something so hard that you make it happen or make someone or something appear in your life. This is random and not done on purpose and doesn't make the thing or person come into my life.
I don't know about the "Law of Attraction," but I do know about "The Secret." Personally, I think Rhonda Byrnes ought to be prosecuted for this trash. For one thing, she has plagiarized so many writers that it is amazing she is not being sued by a dozen other self-help book authors. For another thing, her theory is full of it. She even went so far to suggest that people in Rwanda could have avoided being murdered had they just thought more positively. Furthermore, based on her point of view, you can tell a child it is their fault if their mother died of cancer. "Sorry, honey, but I guess you weren't positive enough." It is sick. No one should buy this witch's book and support her filth.
Don't get me wrong. Positive thinking is a good thing. It makes you better able to deal with your problems, and it CAN make you more successful. Byrnes takes it too far, suggesting you can change the world around you. Her evidence is totally anecdotal, simply ignoring the mountain of evidence that proves it wrong. A simple analogy can bust her theory. Say ten people arrive at a parking lot, and there is one good spot left. Say all ten of them are POSITIVE with ALL THEIR HEARTS that they will get that spot. Will all ten of them get it? No. Of course not. BUT… the person who did can go around all day and say, "See? I was positive, and I got the spot. That proves it works."
Rhonda Byrnes is that person who happened, through positive thinking somewhat, but mostly through hard work and dumb luck, to get that good parking spot. Sure, it is easy for her to say it works. She got lucky and wrote a best-selling book. If you buy it, however, you're just supporting another con-artist who is using her success to take advantage of people going through difficult times. That's the last thing our society needs. I think people like this rank right up there with rapists and child molesters. Yuck.
That said, I admire your intentions here. You're obviously a good person who wants to help people, and that is never a bad thing. For that matter, positive thinking is a good thing, too! Regardless, I think there are more active, effective, and useful ways to help little girls in Africa rather than sitting around hoping for the best and not doing anything. It's a cheap way to make yourself feel less guilty. Get out there and do some volunteer work or raise some money!

il give you two stories first one quickly worked, second took some years…
So this summer i was working at some factory and i hated the job sooo much. One day before i went to work my dad said he needed the car at lunch time to go to doctors so i was super super super excited all day while working, picturing in my mind how fun it will be to leave work in the middle, get some fresh air, put the volume on full in the radio and just take my time while driving to my dad… Anyways, come lunch time my dad calls and says he desn't need the car anymore… I got really really angry because all day i was waiting for this you know? anyways i eat my lunch kind of pissed off and say what ever, and go back to work……. 5 minutes after i start working after lunch my BOSS calls me into his office and says " hey i need you to drive my car to my wifes house and give her this stack of money she needs to pay the roofers" I WAS SHOOOOOCKED!!! i was soooo happy and thanked the universe for giving me what i wanted!!! i drove fast, with the windows down, music blaring, and took my sweeeet ass time not only that but i got paid for doing it!! if i were to drive my dad i would have had to sign out!!! you know?? so thats proof #1

anyways, i auditioned for the college… and didnt get in! i was devastated!!! i thought my whole life would suck but a couple months after i got an offer to study abroad at a school that was connected to my dream school… anyways i went for one year to study abroad, had the most amazing time of my entire life (like INSANE time) and while i was there i auditioned again for my school, and i got in WITH A SCHOLARSHIP!!! not only that but i learned soo much during studying abroad that when i started my dream school, i was ahead of MY WHOOOLLEe entering class!!
so lessons: EVERYTHING happens for a reason, and the law of attraction works, whether u like it or not!
the key is to never give up, always have goals, visualize, and have feelings attached to what ever you want. FEEL WHAT IT WILL FEEL LIKE WHEN U GET IT!

My experiences and struggles with activating the Law of Attraction reveals that in order for the universe to fulfill or bring about one’s intended outcome, the individual needs to be vibrating at a particular frequency.
